Community Impact Challenge
(CIC)
We are Impactivists.
Our vision is to revitalise the future of our planet by igniting powerful networks of individuals to take action toward the Sustainable Development Goals. We provide practical and purposeful tools that empower individuals to reduce and offset their environmental footprint – personally and professionally.
Together, we engage and mobilise households, communities, and organisations to align the long-term interests of nature, people and the economy. Today for a better tomorrow.

Our aim is to create a ripple effect which will turn into big waves thanks to the efforts & engagement of our community.
INDIVIDUAL ACTION.
COLLECTIVE POWER.
Our Story
The Community Impact Challenge (CIC) was founded by two INSEADers (an alumni and a member of staff) and launched globally in Dec 2019. INSEAD is one of the world's leading and largest graduate business schools. It is a non-profit, private education institution with locations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

CIC is 100% volunteer-run. Our volunteers are mainly members of the INSEAD community with some volunteers joining CIC from outside of this network.
The initiative is supported by the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society (HGIBS), INSEAD, the INSEAD Alumni Association (IAA) and INDEVOR, INSEAD’s Social Impact Club.
“Stubborn optimism needs to motivate you daily; you always need to bear in mind why you feel the future is worth fighting for.”

Engage. Empower. Mobilise.
We set out to raise awareness and trigger long-term habit changes towards more sustainable and healthy living.
We ENGAGE YOU, our participants, partners and our community by delivering meaningful content and insights.
We EMPOWER YOU by providing practical and purposeful tools to reduce and offset the environmental footprint.
We MOBILISE our community and the networks of our supporters with concrete actions to create positive impact to help achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
As a Global Sustainability Organization, Community Impact Challenge is dedicated to fostering a community that actively promotes equity, embodies inclusion, and celebrates diversity in all its facets, encompassing race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and age. We warmly welcome volunteers from both INSEAD and non-INSEAD Alumni, spanning across the globe.
